Missing 10% of school days, that’s only 2 days each month, can put our students at risk of academic struggle. Let’s give a huge shout-out to our amazing Luling ISD Attendance Clerks who work with our parents to keep our students on track! Good attendance is a true partnership.

Shanklin students are working hard to improve their attendance in their class, by grade level and as a campus! Announcements are made to inform students which class has the best attendance each day and there is a daily grade level recognized for the best daily attendance rate. At the end of the month, the grade level with the best attendance is going to get to house our very own attendance eagle, LENNY! Lenny the Eagle will spend a few days in each class and have the students write about his visit to their class in his travel log. We are excited to hear about Lenny's travel experiences and our outstanding attendance at Shanklin Elementary!
