Huge shoutout to the students at Shanklin for finishing up a week of MAP testing! They did a great job showing what they know, and now our teachers have valuable data to help support their learning this year. We're so proud of their hard work and can't wait to see their growth!

Exciting day for our school board members as they were officially sorted into their Houses! Let the House pride shine!
Shanklin and Gerdes are implementing the Ron Clark Academy House System which promotes a positive school culture, enhances student engagement through friendly competition, encourages character development, and strengthens relationships among students and staff.

Had a fantastic visit with our Luling students who are learning in Seguin! The kids are so happy and thriving, learning something new every day. Proud of their hard work and dedication!
The Transition Works Seguin Program teaches our 18+ students important job and life skills. They work in the food pantry, print shop, clothing donation shop, all on the campus, AND have jobs at local businesses around Seguin.

The breakfast and lunch menus for our first full week of school! As always, every student eats for free! Yummy nutrition at zero cost.

Shanklin Elementary is truly appreciative of the help from local organizations. Today, our local Knights of Columbus Council 8190 stopped by with a donation. Thank you very much for your generous donation for our campus!

Safety First....Parents please remember, Shanklin Elementary staff wants to keep all students safe at all times. Please help us keep your child and all the other children safe when dropping your child off in the morning and picking them up at dismissal.
Thank you for cooperation in assisting us with Safety First.
1. Use the crosswalks when crossing the street. There are no crosswalks at the baseball field.
2. Please stay in line when dropping off your child.
3. There are only two drop-off points at Shanklin. The south exit of the parking lot is not a drop-off point.
4. In the afternoon, there is no left turn allowed during dismissal from Houston Street to Hackberry Street.

First Day!!! We were so happy to welcome our students back to school this morning. Their huge smiles said it all - they missed us too!

Shanklin Elementary is so proud to present five students with yard signs identifying them as 'PERFECT 10 STAAR WRITERS!" The elementary staff made a special delivery to these five students' homes to present them with their very own yard sign and the look on their face as the door was opened was priceless!
Special shout to Patterson Plumbing and Septic for their donation of funds for the purchase of the yard signs.

Superintendent Warren will be at story hour tomorrow at 10am at the JB Nickells Library! After she reads, there will be a fun craft to do!

HUGE thank you to Dairy Max for approving our grant so we can offer a Grab and Go Breakfast option at Shanklin this year! We don't want any student to start their school day hungry, and these funds help ensure that they don't. Fueling our future leaders....
