The Annual Trick or Treat on Eagle Street is Monday, October 30th from 5pm-7pm. Everyone is invited!


Red Ribbon Week Wednesday was so much fun! Teachers rocked socks and crocs, hoodies, and hats while students suited up as some of their favorite teachers! Definitely doing this again!











After reading "Mango, Abuela, and Me", a heartwarming story about a parrot who helped a granddaughter and grandmother communicate, Ms. Johnson's class wrote letters to the principal asking for a class pet. Ms. Meshell surprised them with a chatty parrot they named Mango. They're excited to learn together!



Celebrating our next round of Zero Quit Heroes....These staff members were nominated because they support, uplift, and go the extra mile for the people around them.

It's National School Bus Safety Week! Let's prioritize the safety of our precious cargo. A big thank you to our dedicated bus drivers, parents, and educators who ensure our children get to school and back safely every day.

Shanklin Elementary PK-2 students celebrated Fire Prevention Week with a visit from the Luling Fire Department. Firefighters Domke, Gragg and Tucker talk about fire safety, identified some of the tools they use and even allowed some of the students to try on their gear! The fire department provide all students with some information about fire safety to take home.

Our students and staff utilize our crosswalks daily in an effort to safely cross our busy streets. Let's prioritize their safety and never drive through crosswalks. Be aware of our staff and students crossing the street and stop. It's a small act that can make a big difference!
