Great things happening for our first full week of school! Lots of learning and student ownership so we can raise the bar together!

Are you connected with your child's teacher? If you haven't yet, join Rooms today! Rooms will connect you with teachers, admin, and the school community so you don't miss out on important events and information!

Thank you Cindy Spann and PAM Health Hospital for bringing by some much needed hydration and goodies for our Shanklin staff on the first day!

Quick Note: All transportation changes need to be made through the front office (not the classroom teacher) and be made by 2:00 for same day changes. This helps to ensure our dismissal is safe and secure for all students.

We had an amazing day 1 here at Shanklin! We wanted to clarify our walker/walk-up dismissal procedures. If your PK-2nd grade child is listed as a walker, please be sure your child's teacher knows if they will be walking with a sibling. If your child is walking with a sibling and they attend Shanklin, no other action is needed, as long as the teacher knows the name of the Shanklin student. If your child is walking with siblings from HS/JH, those children will need a car tag or an adult with a car tag in order for the teacher to release the child. This is to verify that we know the identity and have the approved pickup persons for that child. This is for the safety of our youngest students. If you need to pick up a car tag for yourself or for another person to walk your child, please see the front office between 8:30-2:00pm. If you have any questions, please see the front office.

Thank you so much to the Luling ISD Board of Trustees for your support at Shanklin for the first day of school: from yummy treats, to expert traffic help, and car line support!

We call that a successful first day drop off!
Thank you to our incredible staff for making today look easy, and to our Board of Trustees for pitching in this morning (and bringing the donuts 🍩 for everyone).
That's how Luling ISD does it! One Team. All In.

Pick up your car (or walk-up) tags today from 8:30-2PM! This will help keep our line running smoothly the first day, but as always, patience will be much appreciated as we learn new dismissal procedures.

Be sure to come to the front office on Tuesday between 8:30-2:00 get your temporary car tag if you have not yet gotten it. All cars and all walk-ups will need a tag in order for us to ensure student safety.

Are you ready for the first day of school at Shanklin? We are so excited to welcome our youngest Eagles to school tomorrow! Please see the arrival and dismissal map for arrival and dismissal locations. Please allow some extra time for dismissal tomorrow as our top priority is student safety, and we are working to build strong, safe dismissal routines.

Shanklin parents: our car tags sadly were lost in shipping, so we will be using temporary tags until the replacements arrive. If you received a temporary tag or a real tag at Meet the Teacher, please be sure to use it the first day of school. If your temporary tag didn't include your Car Line number, please call the front office and ask for your number and add it with a marker. If you did not get a tag, or didn't come to meet the teacher, please visit the front office on Monday or Tuesday until 2pm to get a tag. Every car or walk-up pickup will need a tag or an ID for us to check.

Shanklin is thankful for our amazing custodial team! Working hard to help us be ready for students on Tuesday and launch our new school year!

Calling all incoming Shanklin Pre-K and Kindergarten families! We’d love to help our newest Eagles and their families start making connections before the school year begins.

⏰ 9:00 AM
This is an informal community meet-up for families to get to know one another and give our littlest Eagles a chance to meet some new friends! School administration will not be present, but we wanted to help create a time and space for families who are interested in connecting before the first day of school.
If you plan to attend, please comment below so families know who to look for! This will also help any parents who would like to organize activities or coordinate anything for the group know who to reach out to. We hope this is the beginning of some wonderful friendships for our Shanklin students and families.
